NEW RULE: CIRCLE HOOKS ONLY are permitted to be used for livebaiting and trolling natural baits. NB: no points to be scored for any species caught while using livebaits and/or trolling natural baits with “J” hooks. (rule comes into effect on 29th July 2010)

ATTENTION;- THE WOLLONGONG GAME FISHING CLUB’S MONTHLY MEETING IS NOW AT THE MASTER BUILDERS CLUB, 61 CHURCH STREET, WOLLONGONG THE NEXT MEETING IS ON THE 12.3.10.THE MEETING WILL BE 7.00PM FOR A 7.30PM START IN MEETING ROOM 2, SO WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE MEMBERS ATTEND TO SUPPORT OUR NEW VENUE WHICH ALSO HAS A BUFFET RESTAURANT OR A BISTRO AND THE DRINKS ARE AT CLUB PRICES SO YOU COULD BRING THE FAMILY ALONG AS WELL. ALL FUTURE MEETINGS WILL BE HELD ON THE 2ND FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH IN THE SAME PLACE AT THE SAME TIME, SO COME ON DOWN....

'Capture and T & R Certificates' must be returned to the club within 28 days of the capture or tagging, or they WILL NOT BE COUNTED. If you are fishing in a Competition and the white copy is taken, do not depend on that club to return the certificate to us, HAND THE PINK COPY to the W.G.F.C.

Hi all

It is of concern that not all anglers are using the correct tag for specific species.
GFAA has now adopted A Guideline for the use of Specific Tags

NB. The small Pelagic Tag (Pink) is to be used to Tag....Snapper...Silver Trevally....And Australian Salmon only

The Large Pelagic Tag (yellow plastic) All other Pelagics

The Metal Headed Tag for Sharks

And lastly The Billfish only Tag

It is with note also to mention that the Min for Tagging Kingfish has been increased to 70 cms
